1. Create a content strategy:

You need to know that social media is meaningless without great content and without social media nobody will know about your content. So, they need to be used together to reach and convert your prospects.

A successful social media content strategy comprises of the following elements:

i) type of content – text only, images, links, video, etc.

ii) time of posting – what is the best time for posting?

iii) frequency of posting – how often do you post?

2. Check which content format works best for each platform:

Broadcasting the same type of content to all social media platforms will not deliver the results you want as each social network is focused on a particular demographic and social user category. For instance, users who use Pinterest and Instagram more often are more interested in content with a visual nature and will be more enticed by high-quality graphics that you use to tell your story. So, basically you need to tailor your content according to the requirement.

3. Determine the best strategy and the budget accordingly:

Determination of the strategy depends upon the need of marketing tools, as to what do you need them for – social media monitoring, email marketing, CRM, graphic design or video production etc. Then you are supposed to include the annual projected cost so you can have a high-level view of what you’re investing in and how it affects your marketing budget.

4. Get your targeted audience directly involved in activities:

Directly involving your targeted audience means engaging them through contests and promotional events. Conducting contests and other promotional activities are perfect ways for enticing them and soliciting their participation.

5. Create an interest in your products through stories:

Whether you believe it or not, people love stories and they go to social media networks to read stories, be amazed by interesting features, and learn new things from uploads and shares. Telling stories will get people interested your brand. They would want to know more about you and thus want to read, view or watch more stories and videos about you.
