So, we are back with another set of tips about an effective website design. Here are some more tips on designing a killer website that will prove to be a boon for your business.

Focus on persuasive copy writing:

Content matters. Keep the words short, sweet and to the point. If you have trouble writing copy that attracts the readers attention to where you need it to go, hire someone. Copy and design are equally important to your website. Choosing the right words for sign up buttons, page headings, navigation calls to action and providing the right content for a short yet detailed description can be the difference between 50% sign up rate and a 90% sign up rate.

Choose the correct font styles and sizes:

Making your section titles the correct size and making sure the fonts you’re using will greatly affect the experience your visitors have when viewing your websites. You should use one main font for the content and then you may switch the titles of the pages to some other font.

Use standard design styles for your navigation:

If a design element is expected in a certain place, then that’s where it should go. Things like navigational links arranged in a closed loop, or some sort of 3d cube that you have to rotate to find the web page links; this serves only to confuse people. As per the researches of Apple and Microsoft, left side navigation and top navigation is what people are used to.

Utilize whitespace and minimalism for a clean look and feel:

Design trends may come and go, but minimalism is perpetual. By keeping things simple you allow for a more consistent design across all device screen sizes that prevents the really important content on your site from perishing in clutter.

It shows shape of information space in overview. Sitemaps can demonstrate organization, navigation, and labeling system.
